NET Stands for National Eligibility Test and The examination was Conducted By UGC twice in a year. The Test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.

There is no limit in number of attempts of UGC exam.

Eligibility Criteria-

Master’s Degree with min 55 % marks from recognised University in Humanities and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test.
50% marks for SC/ST/PH/VH
Final year student can also eligible to apply.
Age criteria-Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years

The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.

Examination Fee

General Candidates Rs.450/-
Other Backward Classes Rs.225/-
SC/ST/PWD candidates Rs.110/-

Exam pattern-

The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions.
All questions of Paper-II and Paper-III will be compulsory, covering entire syllabus including all electives, without options.
