Re: Negative Marking in UPESEAT

UPESEAT is aptitude test directed by University of Petroleum & Energy Studies to offer admissions to the engineering courses at the university.

Eligibility Criteria:


Eligibility for admission through UPESEAT (80% seats)—

Applicants should have passed in 10+2 with 60% marks from a recognized board with 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Eligibility for admission through board merit/JEE (20% seats)

Admission by Board Merit

Applicants should have passed in 10+2 with 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Admission by JEE 2015

Applicants should have passed in 10+2 with 60% marks from a recognized board with 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Paper Pattern:

The exam will have five sections:

Chemistry: 50 questions

Maths: 50 questions

Physics: 50 questions

English Language Comprehension: 30 questions

Current Affairs Awareness: 20 questions

Total: 200 questions

Exam Duration: 3 hours

There is 1/4th negative marking in UPESEAT.

Selection Procedure:

Selection depends on score of UPESEAT followed by Centralized Counseling through Merit rank for Non Exam Category.
