The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG is an entrance examination in India, for students who wish to study graduate medical course and dental course in government or private medical colleges and dental colleges respectively in India. Eligibility Criteria The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as or on December 31, 2018 The candidate must have passed class 12th examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, and must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually. In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together in HSC examination is 40% marks. The candidate applying for NEET must be an Indian citizen. Examination pattern Duration : 3 hours Physics 45 Questions Chemistry 45 Questions Biology 90 Questions Total Number of Questions 180 Questions Total Marks of Examination 720 Marks Marking Scheme For each correct answer, the candidates will be awarded 4 marks; if an answer is wrong, then 1 mark will be deducted. |
