I am looking for details about NDA (Nuclear Decommissioning Authority) SME Mentoring Scheme so please provide me the same? When the NDA Estate SME Mentor Scheme was launched? Is SME mentoring scheme open for applications?

I am doing MBA degree and searching for some details about the NDA Estate Mentor Scheme wants to know more related to this. Will you provide basic details about NDA Estate Mentor Scheme along with scheme background and Supervisory Panel of this NDA Scheme?

The NDA Estate Mentor Scheme is one of various initiatives set up by the NDA to promote and encourage participation of SMEs in the NDA Estate.

The pilot Scheme ran for 12 months from April 2014 with a cohort of 40 mentees and mentors. The scheme runs annually.

The deadline for applications for the 2016 was 15 April. The scheme will reopen in 2017.

Background

This scheme is one of a portfolio of initiatives to support SMEs as part of the NDA SME Action Plan and ongoing commitment to create an open playing field for the supply chain.

Previous participants include mentors and mentees from engineering, design, logistics, legal and consulting businesses alongside some key nuclear players from the nuclear industry, as well as further afield.

The NDA have paired 70 businesses through 2 cohorts of the SME Mentor Scheme since 2012.

The Supervisory Panel is made up of SME consultants and NDA supply chain development team. This panel:

oversees the scheme
allocates mentors to mentees
arranges training workshops
review sessions
provides objective advice
supports mentors and mentees

The scheme is supported by micro-SMEs, Davies Nuclear Associates Ltd and Beehive Coaching and Leadership Development Ltd.
