NDA Physical Eligibility

NDA is one of the defence service exam holds by UPSC every year twice in favor of candidates to join in:

Indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Air Force

There are certain eligibility conditions which you must satisfy to apply for the exam.
Eligibility for NDA:

>Applicants must have a citizenship in India.

> Applicants appearing for the exam must be a unmarried male candidate.

> Applicants appearing for the CDS exam must have a age limit of 16 1/2-19 years for joining in Indian Army

> Applicants must have finished their respected +2 from a recognized school board of education with a fair percentage for joining in Indian Army.

> Applicants who are appearing for the NDA exam must be physically fit while appearing for the NDA exam.

Physical Standards for NDA:
Those who habitually wear spectacles are not eligible for Air Force.
Minimum distant vision 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other, correctable to 6/6 only for Hypermetropia, Colour vision CP-I Hypermetropia : + 2.0 D Sph.
Vision standard for Naval candidates :
Uncorrected without glass : 6/9
Corrected with glass : 6/6
Limits of Hypermetropia : +1.5
Limits of Myopia : -0.75

Physical Conditions :
>> Running 2.4 km in 15 minutes
>> Chin ups (minimum 08)
>> Rope climbing : - 3-4 metres
>> Skipping
>> Pushups and sit ups (minimum 20 each)
