The National University of Singapore Faculty of Law is widely regarded as Asias leading law school.

It offers Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Law program.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Law program

The PhD is awarded on the submission of a thesis of not more than 80,000 words that is a substantial piece of original research in a particular field of law, or a critical interpretation worthy of publication, written under supervision by a Faculty academic member.

Admission Requirements

A good Bachelors or first degree in Law (LLB/BA/JD); OR a good Masters degree in Law (LLM/BCL/MJur/MPhil) with a relevant Bachelors Degree; OR relevant equivalent qualifications

Minimum TOEFL iBT 100. (Other TOEFL paper-based score of 600-603 or minimum IELTS 7.0 will be considered, but we strongly prefer the TOEFL iBT.)

Degree Requirements-

Thesis of 80,000 words

Period of Study

Full-time
Minimum: 2 years
Maximum: 5 years
