National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) is one of the top B-Schools in India which was established in 1963.

It is recognized as one of the 15 Centers of Excellence along with the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), six Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Academic programmes

Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering (PGDIE)
It is a two-year full-time course started in 1971.

It allows students to select from functional areas like Marketing, SCM, Operations, Finance, Systems or Human Resources.

It admits students through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and IISc, Bangalore.

Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management (PGDIM)

It has been modeled along the lines of the General Management Program at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

It admits students through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management.

It allows students to select from functional areas like Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, IT or Human Resources.

It is accredited as MBA equivalent by UGC (University Grants Commission)

Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety and Environmental Management (PGDISEM)

The program teaches students the practices of Environment, Safety, Sustainability and Energy management along with core concepts of Operations management.
