Courses offered :
The entrance exams for the prestigious NIFT are conducted by the board for various programmes in fashion like Bachelor of Design in Fashion Design, Leather Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design and Apparel Production.


Eligibility Criteria
Maximum Age: Candidate should be 23 years old as on 1st October of the year of admission. The upper age limit is relaxed by a period of five years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe/ Differently-Abled Person (PHP).

Qualification :
Bachelor of Design - B. Des. (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication)

Candidate should have passed the 10+2 pattern of examination of any
recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central
Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi and Council for Indian
School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

OR

Candidate should have passed General Certificate Education (GCE)
Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/
International Baccalaureate (IB).

OR

Candidate should have passed any Public School/Board/University
Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of
Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.

OR

Candidate should have a pass grade in the Senior Secondary School
Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five
subjects.

OR

Candidate should have passed 3- or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Fashion Technology - B.FTech (Apparel Production) is the same as above except for there is a requirement to have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level and as for the 3- or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education, it should be in engineering background.
