National Eligibility Test for PHD
After PhD programme, can I participate in National Eligibility Test examination, what is the required eligibility criteria for NET exam, please provide here detailed info about NET exam???

Ofcourse after PhD you can participate in National Eligibility Test examination, here are NET exam details: NET is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and eligibility for Lectureship in various Indian universities and colleges. Eligibility: The Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without grace or rounding off) in Master’s Degree (or) equivalent examination from Universities/ Institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc are eligible for this Test. The Scheduled Caste(SC)/ Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ Physically Handicapped(PH)/ Visually Handicapped(VH) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without grace or rounding off) in Master’s degree examination are eligible for this Test. The candidates having Ph.D. Degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for Under Graduate and Post Graduate level teaching. Examination Fee:- General - Rs.600/- Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer), as per the Central list of OBC available on - Rs.300/- SC/ST/PwD - Rs.150/- Exam pattern: The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions in two separate sessions. Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. 60(sixty) multiple choice questions of 2 marks each will be given, out of which you would be required to answer any 50(fifty). In the event of the candidate attempting more than 50 questions, the first 50 questions attempted by the candidate would be evaluated. Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by you. Each question will carry 2 marks. Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by you . Each question will carry 2 marks. All the questions of Paper–II and Paper– III will be compulsory, covering entire syllabus (including all electives, without options). There are no negative marks for incorrect answers.
