National Eligibility Test Age
I want to apply for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test UGC NET exam so can you please tell me the age criteria to apply for this exam?

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the National Eligibility Test (NET) on behalf of the University Grants Commission for determining the eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship posts in Indian universities and colleges. NET exam eligibility Criteria- Age limit and relaxation: i) Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years A relaxation up to 5 years for candidates belonging to OBC, SC/ST/PWD categories and to women applicants Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience. Three years relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates possessing L.L.M. Degree. (ii) Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor. Educational qualification- Master's degree or its equivalent from a recognised university or institute. Their degree should be any of these disciplines- Humanities, languages, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science and Application, etc. The candidates should have a minimum score of 55 percent in their qualifying degree. NET Paper pattern: The paper will be divided into three sections- Paper I will be for a duration of one hour 15 minutes and will comprise of 60 questions, out of which the candidates are required to attempt 50 questions. It will carry a total of 100 marks Paper II will be for a duration of one hour 15 minutes and will comprise of 50 questions, all of which are compulsory. It will carry a total of 100 marks Paper III will be for a duration of two hours and 30 minutes and will comprise of 70 questions, all of which are compulsory. It will carry a total of 150 marks |
