National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) for admission to first year of 5 year B.Arch Degree course at all recognized institutions all over the country. Registration Process Register yourself on the official website of NATA with username, password with a valid email id. After you login to the Student Portal, complete your profile as per the SSC Marksheet. Upload the soft copy of your photograph and signature. Purchase the form using any of the payment options like Net banking / Credit Cards / ICICI Isure Bank Challan Documents required for NATA Registration After downloading and printing the form, you shall approach any activated test center convenient to you. The Test Center shall give you an appointment for exam based on the schedule and availability at the Test Center. The following documents are required for test center registration. Std. X or equivalent exam mark list - attested copy One recent passport size colour photograph, to be pasted on the registration form. Any valid document of identification bearing photograph and signature of the candidate -attested copy Proof towards payment of NATA Fees (i.e. Online Payment or copy of the Challan). Valid email address is required. NATA 2015 Paper Pattern:- The test is in two parts. • PART 01: Paper based drawing test and computer based online aesthetic sensitivity test. • PART 02: Drawing Test this is a two hour paper where candidate has to attempt three questions. Drawing aptitude is judged on the following aspects- • Ability to sketch a given object proportionately and rendering the same in visually appealing manner. • Visualising and drawing the effects of light on the object and shadows cast on surroundings. • Sense of perspective drawing. • Combining and composing given three dimensional elements to form a building or structural form. • Creating interesting two dimensional composition using given shapes and forms. • Creating visual harmony using colours in given composition. • Understanding of scale and proportions. • Drawing from memory through pencil sketch on themes from day to day experiences. Aesthetic Sensitivity Test This is computer based test where candidates have to answer multiple choice questions. The aesthetic sensitivity test measures perception, imagination, observation, creativity and communication along with architectural awareness and comprises of- • Visualising three dimensional objects from two dimensional drawings. • Visualising different sides of three dimensional objects. • Identifying commonly used materials and objects based on their textural qualities. • Analytical reasoning. • Mental Ability. • Imaginative comprehension and expression. • Architectural awareness. |
