Govt. of India allocated Rs. 100 crores for pursuing research in emerging technologies and sciences of national importance , On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the University of Calcutta.

This fund was utilized for the creation of the (CRNN) Center for Research in Nano Science and Nanotechnology to meet global challenges in this area.

Courses Offered:

Centre for Research in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology provides both a Ph. D. (Science) and a Ph. D. (Tech) degree in various disciplines of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
