Hello sir I am here as I want to know the eligibility Criteria for M.Sc (Food Technology) of CFTRI which is affiliated to Mysore University so will you please tell me the eligibility Criteria???

M.Sc (Food Technology) course was started in the year 1964 as a part of International Food Technology Training Centre (IFTTC) in the prestigious R&D Institute - the Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore.

CFTRI only conducts the 2 year M.Sc (Food Technology) course and the degree is awarded by University of Mysore.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates holding bachelor degree in Science with Chemistry/Biochemistry as one of the subjects or Agriculture/Engineering/Technology


Minimum Marks Requirement:

i) 55% in optional subjects of B.Sc pass course (50% for SC/ST category)

ii) 50% for B.Sc (Hons) course (45% for SC/ST category)

iii) Minimum second class for Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Engineering/ Technology


Reservation: For SC/ ST and students with physical disabilities - Applicable for admission to the course as per Govt orders in this regard


Selection Process

Selection will be done on the basis of The marks scored in Bachelor’s degree and Entrance test are given 50% weightage each and selection is based on All India Merit with applicable reservation rules


Documents to send:
(i) Filled application form - print out with photo and signature;
(ii) 10th std marks card (Copy);
(iii) Attested photocopies of ALL semesters marks/ grade cards of qualifying exam
(iv) Date of birth certificate (Copy);
(v) Caste certificate (if applicable - Copy);
(vi) Parent/ Guardian’s latest income tax return filed or income proof (Copy)
(vii) Demand draft (Original)
