The Yangon Institute of Economics is the premier university of economics and business in Myanmar. Founded as the Department of Economics of Yangon University in 1924, the institute became an independent university of higher learning in 1964.

The main objectives of the MBA Program are:

Select graduates from various fields and train them in modern management and problem solving skills and techniques that can be applied to business management.

A Bachelor Degree from any recognized university

NRC card

The candidate must have above 25 years of age

The candidate must have five years experience as gazette officers if government servants or who have five years experience as executives if employed by companies

Recommendation letter from Company with Company letter head for working experience

Recommendation letter from Township

A Pass in Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) like examination conducted by Yangon Institute of Economics, and the candidates are highly conversant with computer and internet operation
