Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences was established to impart the knowledge of Ayurveda to one and all. The Institution took its inspiration from Late Dr. U. Krishna Muniyal, an Ayurvedic practitioner for over 40 years, who established Muniyal Ayurveda in 1940. Dr. U. Krishna was a direct disciple of Pandith Taranath, a great Ayurvedic physician, who had treated Mahatma Gandhi several times.

1. B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery)
Admission Capacity: 40 students
Duration: 5½ years
• 1st Professional Course - 12 months
• 2nd Professional Course - 12 months
• 3rd Professional Course - 12 months
• 4th Professional Course – 1 ½ Years
• Internship - 12 months
Mode of Selection:
The selection of the candidates is based on merit, i.e. the percentage of marks obtained in the 10+2 (PUC/HSC/equivalent) examination in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
2. M.D. Ayu. (Masters Degree in Ayurveda)
Duration: 3 years
Admission Capacity: 30 students

2. M.D. Bhaishajya Kalpana (Ayurveda pharmaceutics)
3. M.D. Dravyaguna (Ayurveda material medica and pharmacology)
