800 (70%) of the municipal corporations required to have an audit filed their audit report on time or within their approved extension deadline.

351 audited municipal corporations (30%) reported at least one significant deficiency or material weakness.

Out of 662 individual findings reported, 79% were internal control deficiencies, 13% were noncompliance, and 8% were accounting errors and misstatements.

Of the 351 municipal corporations with one or more reportable findings, only 106 filed a Plan of Action with the Secretary as required.
