The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is also known as Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. It is the civic body that governs the capital city of Mumbai in Maharashtra.

History:
The Corporation was established under the Bombay Municipal Corporation Act 1888. The Mayor is Snehal Ambekar, Shiv Sena since 2014.
