Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU), Vadodara was established in 1949. The university was founded by Sir Pratapsinghrao Gaekwad and it is named in the honor of Maharaja Sayajirao.

As you want I am telling the 136-year-old dome of MS University's arts faculty dome will undergo major repair and conservation work beginning. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will carry out a scientific survey for restoration of the dome which is famous for its double-dome structure and touted to be Asia's second largest masonry dome after Gol Gumbaj. This university main building, which houses the Faculty of Arts, was designed by Robert Fellowes Chisholm in Indo-Saracenic architecture style, in a fusion of Indian and Byzantine arches and domes in brick and polychromed stone.
