The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda is a university in the city of Vadodara, (Baroda) in Gujarat state, India.
It was established in 1881.


The institute was founded by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III of Baroda as the Kalabhavan Technical Institute in 1890. In 1949 the Kalabhavan was converted into the Faculty of Technology and Engineering and the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda was established.
