Re: MS In Structural Engineering
Yes buddy Stanford University also conduct MS in Structural Engineering for that I will get the information so that you can have idea. The Master of Science Program in Structural Engineering combines a group of required courses, selected from within each area of the program, with a broad range of electives, permitting each student to design a program focusing on aspects of particular interest. Degree requirement 1. Forty-five total units of coursework must be completed. 2. Five Structural Engineering Core Courses must be completed. 3. Thirty units of coursework must be taken within the graduate-level Structural Engineering and Geomechanics Program. Acceptable courses for these 30 units consist of any of the Structural Engineering Core Courses, as well as courses from the Breadth Electives Courses. 4. At least 36 units must be completed within the School of Engineering. 5. All CEE courses (except for S/NC courses) and at least 36 units must be taken for a letter grade. 6. No more than 6 units may be taken CR/NC, subject to approval by your advisor. 7. No more than 10 units of undergraduate coursework may be counted toward the degree. 8. No more than 6 units of the undergraduate prerequisites listed above may be counted toward the degree. 9. No more than 6 units of CEE 299, Independent Study, may be counted toward the degree. 10. CEE 298, the Structural Engineering and Geomechanics Seminar, must be completed. 11. No more than 3 units of seminar courses may be counted toward the degree. 12. Your study list must be coordinated with and approved by your academic advisor. Here is the program structure 1. Analysis (2 courses required) Advanced Structural Analysis Structural Dynamics Mechanics and Finite Elements Nonlinear Structural Analysis Finite Element Methods in Structural Dynamics 2. Design (1 course required) Advanced Structural Concrete Behavior and Design Advanced Structural Steel Behavior and Design Earthquake Resistance Design and Construction 3. Mechanics (1 course required) Solid Mechanics Mechanics and Finite Elements Damage and Failure Mechanics of Structural Systems 4. Risk and reliability (1 course required) Probabilistic Models in Civil Engineering Structural Reliability Decision Analysis and Applications for Civil and Environmental Engineers Introduction to Performance-Based Earthquake Engineering Breadth Electives Risk Quantification & Insurance Computer Integrated Architecture/ Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) Computer Integrated Architecture/ Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) Life Cycle Assessment for Complex Systems Structural Performance and Failures Computational Micromechanics Foundations and Earth Structures Computational Poromechanics Plasticity Modeling and Computation Managing Critical Infrastructure Seminar Computational Fracture Mechanics Performance-Based Earthquake Engineering Address:- Stanford University 450 Serra Mall, Stanford, CA 94305, United States Phone:- +1 650-723-2300 |
