Hi, as you want the syllabus of MPSC exam so here I am providing you.

MPSC Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Prelims Exam:

There will be two compulsory papers of two hours duration containing objective type question papers in Marathi and English language. The candidates will have to qualify in both the papers for qualifying in the Preliminary Examination. The paper will contain questions of objective type from the degree level / Class X level /Class XII level as per the level of post for which application has been made by the applicant.

The candidates who qualify in the Prelims Exam will be only allowed to appear in the Mains Exam held subsequently after the Prelims Exam for all the eligible applicants.

Main Examinations:

As per the new and revised exam scheme, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission conducts the Main Exam through four papers of the General Studies and two compulsory papers of Marathi and English respectively. The candidates will have to qualify in all the six papers for cracking the Mains Examinations of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission.

The Compulsory Papers of Marathi and English Language is based on Descriptive Type questions and the other papers of general studies contains objective type questions.

Marking Scheme:

Total Marks: 800 Marks

Compulsory Marathi Paper (100 Marks)

Compulsory English Paper (100 marks)

General Studies Paper I (History & Geography) 150 Marks

General Studies Paper II (Indian Constitution & Politics) 150 Marks

General Studies Paper III (Human Resource Development & Human Rights) 150 Marks

General Studies Paper IV (Economics and Science & Technology) 150 Marks

Paper I - (200 marks)

(1) Current events of state, national and international importance.
(2) History of India (with special reference to Maharashtra) and Indian National Movement.
(3) Maharashtra, India and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of
Maharashtra, India and the World.
(4) Maharashtra and India - Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj,Urban Governance, Public Policy, Rights issues, etc.
(5) Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion,Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
(6) General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change-that do not require subject specialization.
(7) General Science.

Paper II - (200 marks)

(1) Comprehension
(2) Interpersonal skills including communication skills.
(3) Logical reasoning and analytical ability.
(4) Decision - making and problem - solving.
(5) General mental ability.
(6) Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation(Charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc.- Class X level)
(7) Marathi and English Language Comprehension skills (Class X/XII level).

Compulsory 6 papers:

The Main Examination has multiple choice type of questions.

Question Paper is in both English and Marathi medium.

Interview:- Only those who score more than 100 marks qualify for the Interview.
