MPSC Dental Surgeon Entrance Examination

I want to take MPSC Dental Surgeon Entrance Examination so please give me dates and other details about the exam and the MPSC.

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is was envisaged Under Article 315 of Constitution of India. According to the Article 320 of the Constitution of India, the commission was incepted to conduct departmental and competitive examinations and to advise the state Government on various matters.

Composition Of Commission
The Commission has a Chairman and 5 Members. The structure of the commission is as follows:

(3) Shri S.P.S.Yadav


Selection procedure:
The MPSC issues notice for the post of Dental Surgeon, GSS, Group-B and Dental Surgeon, Maharashtra Medical Education & Research Service Group B and it conducts entrance exam to select candidates for the posts. After the written exam, the commission holds interview for those candidates who pass the written exam.


The commission has not issued notice for the post for session 2013 yet, but I am attaching a file which has name of the students with the date of the interview for your help so that you can have idea about the tentative dates of the interview.
MPSC Dental Surgeon interview dates

Pattern of the exam:
The Medium of the exam paper will be English. The question paper will have objective type 100 questions and the duration of the exam will be 1 Hour.

Here is the syllabus of the exam:
1) Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology,
Medicine and Surgery as applied to dentistry
1.1) Anatomy- i) Muscles of mastication ii) T.M.J. iii) Tongue and Oral mucosa
iv) Salivary Glands v) Dental Morphology
1.2) Physiology & Biochemistry - i) Blood ii) Bone iii) Functions of Saliva
1.3) Pathology and Microbiology - i) Inflammations and Infections ii) Neoplasias
iii) Degeneration iv) Sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques & disinfections
v) Pathogenic organisms of common occurrence.
1.4) Pharmacology - i) Anaesthetics ii) Analgesics iii) Antibiotics
iv) Pharmacotherapy of common oral conditions
1.5) Medical emergencies in dental practice
1.6) Various aspects of Surgical Principles as related to Orodental diseases.

2) Conservative dentistry and Endodontics
2.1) Dental Caries
2.2) Principles of Cavity preparation
2.3) Tooth Vitality tests
2.4) Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
2.5) Restorative dentistry
2.6) Endodontics - various endodontic procedures including emergency procedures
2.7) Pulpal and Periapical diseases and their management
2.8) Dental Materials

3) Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
3.1) Infection control and cross-infection control

Manipur Public Service Commission invited applications for recruitment to the post of Dental Surgeon. Interested candidates applied through the prescribed format on or before 15 June 2018.

Manipur PSC Vacancy Details

Dental Surgeon –
1 Post


Educational Qualification:
Possession of a recognised Dental qualification included in the First or Third Schedule to the Indian Dentist Act, 1948 as amended from time to time. Registration with a State Dental Council


Eligibility:
One must be a citizen of India.
One must be able to speak Manipuri (Meetei/ Meitei Lon) or any of the Tribal dialect of Manipur.
One must be a permanent resident of Manipur provided that one whose parent or any of his/her ancestors in his/her direct lineage are permanent resident of the State, with proper document proof like enrolment in the electoral roll and birth certificate will also be eligible.


Age Limit –
21 to 38 years


Selection Criteria for Dental Surgeon Post
Candidates will be selected through the written test and Interview.
