The Money market in India is the for short-term and long-term funds with maturity ranging from overnight to one year in India including financial instruments that are deemed to be close substitutes of money

Structure of the Money market :

The Indian money market consists of the unorganised sector:
moneylenders,
indigenous bankers,
unregulated Non-Bank Financial Intermediaries
(e.g. Finance companies, Chit funds, Nidhis);\
organised sector:
Reserve Bank of India,
private banks, public sector banks, development banks and other non-banking financial companies



Money Market instruments of India are as follow :

Call/Notice/Term money market
Repurchase Agreement (Repo & Reverse Repo) market
Treasury bill market
Commercial Bill market
Commercial paper market
Certificate of Deposit market
Money Market Mutual Fund.
