The Department of Library and Information Science was started in the year 1975 as a separate department in the University college of Social Science & Humanities at Mohanlal Sukhadia University.

This department is second in the whole state of Rajasthan by which all the courses of LIS from Bachelor degree to Ph.D are being run.

Courses offered-

B.Lib.ISc (Bachelor of Library and Information Science)

Duration: One year
Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline with 45% marks.

M.Lib.ISc (Master of Library and Information Science)

Duration: One year
Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline with 45% marks+ B. Lib. I. Sc.

Ph.D(Master of Library and Information Science)

Duration: Minimum two years
Eligibility: Master degree in LIS with minimum of 55% marks.
