About the Department :
The Department was established in 1992 by introducing M.Sc. Microbiology programme and it had been functioning as a separate section in the Department of Studies in Botany till 2008. On 23rd July, 2008 a separate Department of Studies in Microbiology started functioning and now it is housed in the Life Science building. Department has a faculty strength of one professor, two associate professors and two assistant professors.
