As there are so many engineering colleges in Mumbai. Each and every college decides the minimum marks on the basis of exam difficulty level and their reputation. Applicants whose marks in exam are more than or equal to this cutoff will be included in the final merit list.

The Govt of Maharashtra Conducts a Maharashtra Health-Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) for the admission to all Health Science Courses, Engineering Degree Courses in State of Maharashtra.

Eligibility of Maharashtra State Candidate to appear MHT-CET :

Candidates Should have passed/appeared the HSC (Std.XII)Examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks

Exam pattern :

The MHT-CET will consist of three question papers of multiple choice type having four options with one correct choice.

Each paper is of 100 marks.
Paper I :- Physics & Chemistry (50 questions each)
Paper II :- Biology (Botany & Zoology - 50 questions each)
Paper III:- Mathematics(50 questions)

Duration of each paper-90 mints
No negative marking

The candidate desirous of selection to Engineering degree courses should appear for Paper I and Paper III.
Syllabus of Examination:Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics for the MHT-CET will be the same as for the current year for HSC Examination of HSC Boards of Maharashtra.
Time & duration of Examination: There will be three papers of one and half hours each.
