Mhrd iit jee

Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) is trying for the single IIT-JEE for admission in engineering course. What was the decision of the MHRD on the IIT-JEE exam? Is there will be single entrance exam? My son wants to do engineering so this news has importance for me?
