Aditya Birla Group Scholarship for IITs and BITS (Pilani) is a Merit Based Scholarship Provided by the Aditya Birla Group. The Aditya Birla Group Scholarship scheme, instituted in 1999, awards scholarships to candidates who pursue ideas and spawning leaders with a passion to excel The number of scholarships offered varies each year. These scholarships are offered for studies at the undergraduate level. The scholarship awards an amount of Rs 65,000 per annum and Rs 1,80,000 per annum. The Aditya Birla Scholarships cover a large part of academic fees as well as the hostel fees. Students from the institutes IITs (B.Tech) - Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Guwahati and BITS (Pilani) Campuses can apply for this scholarship. Requirements Eligibility Criteria : Student must be Indian citizen Student should get admitted in IITs (B. Tech): Chennai, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mumbai, Roorkee, Guwahati and BITS (Pilani) Campuses and LAW: National Law School of India University - Bangalore, NALSAR University of Law - Hyderabad, The WB National University of Juridical Sciences - Kolkata, National Law University - Jodhpur The students overall achievements, spanning academic and co-curricular excellence, are weighted and assessed. Those selected for the next round are asked to write an essay Selection Procedure: The applicants: 160 students from the IITs and BITS (Pilani) and 80 students from law campuses will be evaluated on the basis of the information given in the application form Essays written by these students will then be reviewed by a panel to shortlist candidates for the final round Short listed students are invited for an interview which will determine the 16 best students each from - engineering and management and 8 from law who will be named as the Aditya Birla Scholars |
