Re: Mercer MBA
The Mercer Full-Time MBA program has duration of one year and runs on a cohort model. With this structure students complete the entire program with a small group of peers, allowing each group of classmates to get to know one another better. The accelerated version of the program allows students to complete their MBA in as few as 10 months. No work experience is required for this program, making it a good fit for recent college grads and adults seeking a change of career. Curriculum It encompasses 36 credit hours – or 45 hours including the Business Foundations Module. For students who have not received their undergraduate business degree, the Business Foundations Module, which comprises economics, accounting, finance, and business statistics courses, can be taken. The course takes place in the summer over a four week period. Core classes are taken during the fall semester of the program. The fall semester is broken into two parts – August to October and October to December. Each section consists of 9 credit hours. The spring semester is also broken into two sections – January to March and March to May. Each section consists of 9 credit hours. In the spring semester, students can select elective courses; internships and study abroad trips are accredited options. Tuition & Financial Aid For Mercer Full-Time MBA students during the 2015-2016 school year, degree tuition costs $706 per credit hour. With a total of 36 credits, tuition for the entire program costs $25,416. Additional costs include a technology fee. A reduced tuition rate of $2,500 is given to the Business Foundations module. The Mercer University Office of Student Financial Planning provides students with up-to-date information about financial assistance through the federal loan programs. |
