The Kerala Post Graduate Entrance Exam in Ayurveda (MD) is being conducted for admission in to the MD course in the following specialties: Kayachikitsa Salakyathantra Rasasastra Bhaishajyakalpana Dravyaguna Swasthawritha Prasoothithantra & Streeroga Ayurveda Sidhantha & Darsana Panchakarma Kaumarabhrithya Salyathantra Manasika Agadathantra Kriyasareera Roganidanam Eligibility: The applicant should have completed BAM / Ayurvedacharya /BAMS from the colleges having CCIM recognition with 50% of marks. After the Under Graduate degree in Ayurveda (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)), the aspirants can take up Post Graduate course (MD) in Ayurveda in various fields such as Ayurved Sinddhant and Darshana, Dravya Guna, Kaumara, Panchakarma, Shalya, etc. For getting admission to the MD programme, the candidate has to clear the entrance exam conducted by the respective colleges. Eligibility Criteria The candidate who is applying for the MD Ayurveda course must be an Indian citizen. One must have a BAM /Ayurvedacharya /BAMS from the colleges acknowledged by the CCIM and a Degree in BAMS or its equivalent degree with at least 50% of marks separately for theory and practical. They should also have a Certificate from the Medical Council. List of MD Ayurveda Entrance Exams in India Most of the states of India conduct separate entrance exams. Generally the exam consists of 2 papers, a general paper common to all candidates and a special paper which is separate for the candidates based on their specialization. The candidates are required to attend both the sections and there will be cut off for each section. Usually there will be a total of 240 questions which have to be answered within 180 minutes. Only those clearing the exam will be provided admission to various ayurvedic colleges. |
