The College of Business of SFSU or San Francisco State University is organized by departmental disciplines in which each department offers limited specializations in a variety of areas.

Degree Requirements

For MBA, one must attend a required orientation that includes professional development workshops, and complete eight Foundation courses in addition to 10 Advanced Requirement courses.

One is eligible to waive all or some of the Basic Foundation courses depending on the undergraduate background.

The Advanced Requirement consists of required courses and elective courses.

One can choose an area of emphasis or take College of Business 800-level electives in different areas to complete a general MBA.

One is encouraged to consult with an advisor in the area of specialization.
