Tell me the ITIL or PMP certification after Master of Business Administration MBA program?

PMP and ITIL are IT specific certifications.

ITIL is Service Management based certification for operational effectiveness. PMP is for Project Management oriented career.

If you want to move out of Ops into Projects, PMP would help. Certainly the growth prospects are more with a PMP.

If you are Operations person and would like to stay that way then ITIL qualifications along with Six Sigma may help. You should develop a learning path for ITIL as it involves a set of qualifications starting from Foundation till Expert level.

There are people who do both (PMP & ITIL) depending upon their short, medium and long term objectives.

If you are looking for lateral move to Project Management from Service Management then PMP may act as an enabler but relevant experience counts more.

PMP certification combines technical knowledge with managerial skills. Individuals with PMP certifications are immediately identifiable to employers as someone with real skills.

PMP certification training provides specialized knowledge that an MBA usually lacks and this has a higher value in the job market.
