Hey according to latest news the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Mortgage Applications measures the change in the number of new applications for mortgages backed by the MBA during the reported week.

A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the USD, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the USD.

The average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage approved was 4.15 percent versus 4.18 percent the previous week.
