The start of School of Management Studies was in 1958 as a department at Faculty of Economic and Social Studies .General and Honours Bachelor degree was awarded in Business Administration and only General Bachelor Degree in Accounting. In 1976 Honours Degree was added to the Department of Accounting

Admission Criteria:
- Applicants should normally hold a bachelor degree in Business Administration or Graduation in any stream from University of Khartoum or an equivalent from any recognized university.

Admission Requirements:
a. Application for admission must be made by filling the application from provided by the Graduate College.
b. The filled application form must be accompanied by certified copies of original certificates.
c. Two names as referees preferably one of them from professors who are familiar with the applicant’s academic ability.
d. Attending an interview committee panel whenever deemed necessary.
e. All applicants must furnish certification of Proficiency in the English Language by means of the IELTS or the TOEFL examinations whenever required.
f. All applicants must submit their success certificates on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) whenever required.
g. Passing the aptitude test prepared by the School of Management Studies whenever deemed necessary.
