MBA in Fisheries Management course aims at providing an exposure to the management, marketing and technological issues pertaining to fish processing and export industries, inland fish farming, cage fisheries, pearl culture, etc.

The topics covered includes:-
Markets trends in the international markets
Institutional support for fishery sectors
Field visits to fish processing plants and fish farms
Processes and technology in fish faming in different sectors
Problems in the fish farming sectors
Major international markets for different varieties of fresh and processed fish
Fish processing and technology for selected fish items
Production management and quality control in fish processing industries

For admission in this program the candidate should be a Graduate in Science, Arts, Commerce or professional graduates from Indian/Foreign recognized Universities with minimum 55% marks in traditional system (5% concession to SC /ST Candidates).

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) is a university established by Government of Kerala. The College of Fisheries was established in the year 1979.

Eligibilities

Graduate in Science, Arts, Commerce or professional graduates from Indian/Foreign Universities recognized by AICTE/UGC/ ICAR/KUFOS with minimum 50% marks in traditional system ( 4 0% to SC /ST Candidates)

Candidates awaiting their final results of the qualifying degree can also apply.

Three seats will be reserved for in - service candidates from Government of Kerala/Government of India/other public sector undertakings.
