Re: MBA Fayetteville State University
Fayetteville State University realizes that not everyone who is accepted into the program can be there for classes at one of the physical locations for distance or scheduling reasons and to end that, the University offers online MBA as an alternative for the students. Eligibility for Online MBA: In order to get admitted to the online program, one must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a GPA > 2.75, and submit qualifying GRE or GMAT scores, along with two letters of recommendation, and an application for admission. However, if the undergraduate GPA is > 2.75 one can start the program without the GRE/GMAT and in some cases take up to almost four classes (12 credit hours) of instruction prior to submitting GRE/GMAT scores. Additional information about the MBA program is given below: Aspirants have a total of six years to complete the degree. Some online classes such as Accounting in the fall, and Finance in the spring, mostly uses recorded lectures to supplement and augment the learning process. The classes that use recorded lectures, students receive a web link to the recorded class each week. The recordings are available for download or viewing on the web 24/7. Adobe connect is also available to students for each seated MBA class the University offers. This means aspirants have the option to interact with the class/professor during the live lecture broadcast using Adobe Connect. Either way, distance students are also responsible for the material covered in the recorded/live lectures. The core curriculum consists of 27 credit hours includes 9 total classes in the areas of Finance, Economics, Accounting, etc.), A minimum of three (3) electives. An additional 15 credits of course work would be required for students that do not have a business academic background. Specifically, the University looks for business classes in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, and Statistics. Aspirants can also select to specialize in a specific area such as Health Care, Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Finance, etc., The specialization requires a total of four elective classes within the specific concentration desired.
