Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) Counselling is conducted by the marks secured by the candidates in 10+2 examination. Anna University is the conducting authority which organizes an admission procedure for admission into different engineering programmes.

TNEA Counselling Procedure

The counselling will be organized through offline mode. One has to present physically in the counselling process.
The counselling schedule is intimated to the candidates and also published on the website.
One has to deposit Rs. 5000 (Rs. 1000 for SC/ST category) as a counselling fee. The fee can be submitted through Demand Draft & Cash.
Counselling Letter is issued to meritorious candidates via online mode to attend the counselling.
One is called for the counselling process on the basis of the merit list.
The counselling is organized in rounds for the general candidates & vocational candidates.
During the counselling procedure, one has to select courses/colleges as per the preferences. The documents will be verified at the time of counselling.
If ones original documents has been submitted in another Institution where one has been already admitted, in such case, one has to produce a letter from the Head of the Institution. Only attested photocopies of certificates from the Head of the Institution will accept for verification.
