The Senate of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka notified that the maternity leave benefits extended by Government of Karnataka vide Government Order No. FD 4 SRS 2012, dated 14.06.2012 and connected orders issued by Government from time to time, shall be adopted and followed with respect to teaching and non-teaching female employees of the colleges affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka The Head of the institution will be held responsible for any violation in this Regard Government have accepted the recommendation of the Official Pay Committee 2011 to increase the period of matemity leave to female Government servants from 135 days to 180days A female Government servant who is proceeding on maternity leave is eligible for 180 days of maternity leave.
