Planet Merchandising and Retailing Society MARS is the non profit, student run store on campus is the backbone of the students in Indian Institute of Management Bangalore IIMB.

Right from the healthy candies Hajmola to the necessary tools like matchboxes, they sell everything that a typical IIMBian needs during the stay in campus.

They open shop on every single day, be it exams or fests, keeping in line with their motto of Simplifying Life

Apart from the routine stuff (toiletries, stationery) they help people decorate their rooms (curtains, bean bags, laundry bags etc), look professional during placements (Folders, B-Suits, Shoe Polish etc), celebrate festivals with zest (Rakhis, Christmas Cakes, National Flags etc), flaunting the IIMB brand (IIMB T-Shirts, Mugs, Bags etc) etc etc. In short, they simplify the life of students.

Planet MARS never misses any opportunity for the students to dedicate cakes or chocolates during celebrations like Christmas etc.

Calculators

Calculators are an essential requirement in many courses pursued at IIM Bangalore. For the convenience of the PGP1s, they arrange for calculators at extreme discounts.

Bean Bags

While the hostel room chairs are good for working, Bean Bags offer the comfort when you just want to chill out with your wingies, or have a in-room party or watch a movie relaxingly.

Visiting Cards

Wish to make an impact in any formal or informal introductions?? They fulfill your wish by bringing you IIM Bangalore visiting cards.

Business Suits

Western Formals are a mandatory requirement for attending all Pre-placement talks on campus and also during the actual Placement (Summers and Finals process).

Passport Photos

For submitting the placement forms, PGP1s need passport photographs in western formals. As soon as, PGP1s come for second term, MARS arranges for a photographer to meet all the needs.

IIMB Folders

During your placements, you will require to carry your resumes with you. MARS brings you folders with IIMB logo

Christmas Cakes

Come new year and they sweeten your life on campus by bringing in special christmas cakes. Last year several of us savored those delicious cakes which still brings back sweet memories.

Valentine's Day

MARS organized Valentine's Day and at the same time celebrated its birthday with the student community by having a poetry/story writing competition where the winners walked away with dinner coupons (sponsored by MARtians).

Movers and Packers

There are no ends, only new beginnings. And they here make this change to new beginnings simpler by arranging movers and packers deals for PGP2s as they leave the campus.
