There are very few institutes in India that offers Post Diploma in Marine Engineering
like Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Government Polytechnic.

Diploma holders in streams of Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture Engineering, etc are eligible to apply for the course.

Selection to the course on the basis of merit.

The qualification must be obtained with 50% marks in English, either in 10th, 12th or at degree levels.

Age of the applicants must be below 28 years. Apart from this, candidate must satisfy pre-specified physical and medical standards.

In Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Government Polytechnic, age of the applicant must be less than 25 years, other conditions remaining the same.
