Manipal Pre Medical Test is the Medical Entrance Tests of North East India. It is taken by the Tripura University for admitting applicants in M.B.B.S. and B.D.S. in the various colleges affiliated with it.

Eligibility
Applicants should have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) from any recognised university or equivalent.

Applicants for 10+2 Exam may also apply for this Exam.

Age:

Applicants must have attained the age of 17 years on 31st December of the year of application.

Manipal PMT (Pre Medical Test) is the Medical Entrance Tests of North East India.

It is conducted by the Tripura University for admission in M.B.B.S. - Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Dental Surgery course in the various colleges affiliated with it.

Manipal PMT Exam Dates
Manipur PMT entrance test is usually conducted in the first week of June of every year.

Eligibility
Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent in the concerned subjects from recognized board

Age limit:
The minimum age of all the candidates should be 17 years

Exam Pattern:
There will be objective type questions based on the syllabus of Class 11th and 12th from the following subjects:

Physics- 60 Questions
Chemistry- 60 Questions
Biology- 80 Questions and
English and General Aptitude- 40 Questions

Duration of Exam: Two and a half hours

2. Write two functions of juxtaglomerular apparatus.

(i) Juxtaglomerular cells secretes Renin which through RAAS (Renin-Angiotensis Aldosterone System) help in
absorption of Na+ from DCT and therefore increases Blood pressure.
(ii) Its Macula densa cells act as chemorecptor feeding information to JG cells.

Ans. Ribozymes are the RNA molecules (Non protein enzyme) that possess catalytic activity they function in RNA
splicing reactions.
9. What are mycorrhizae?
