Kasturba Medical College (KMC) is a medical college that is located in Manipal, Udupi District, Karnataka and it is affiliated to Medical Council of India. It is under Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). It was founded in 30 June 1953 as the first self-financing medical college. It is ranked 2nd among top 5 private medical colleges in India.


Eligibility for MBBS Course:

Duration: 4 ½ years plus 1 year compulsory rotating internship.
Citizenship: Indian nationals.
Date of Birth: Should fall on or before 31.12. 98
Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.

Admission Procedure:

General Category: Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET) 2015.
Foreign/NRI Category: Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination
Government Category: Few MBBS seats are reserved for candidates selected by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Government of Karnataka, Bangalore.

Merit List: General Category: Based on the marks obtained in MU-OET, Manipal University will declare a list of all candidates who have appeared for the entrance test on or before 27.05.2015in the website. Incase of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks, the inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined on the basis of higher marks in the order of preference as under:
