Re: Malaria Is Caused By Which Mosquito

Malaria is a mosquito-borne infectious disease of humans and other animals caused by parasitic protozoan (a group of single-celled micro organisms) belonging to the Plasmodium type

Malaria is caused by a one-celled parasite called a Plasmodium.

Female Anopheles mosquitoes pick up the parasite from infected people when they bite to obtain blood needed to nurture their eggs.
Inside the mosquito the parasites develop and reproduce.

When the mosquito bites again, the parasites mix with its saliva and pass into the blood of the person being bitten.
There are four types of human malaria:
Plasmodium vivax,
P. malariae,
P. ovale and
P. falciparum
P. vivax and P. falciparum are the most common forms.

Signs and symptoms

Main symptoms of malaria

The signs and symptoms of malaria typically begin 8–25 days following
infection

Initial manifestations of the diseasee similar to flu-like symptoms, and can
resemble other conditions such as sepsis, gastroenteritis, and viral diseases.

The presentation may include headache, fever, shivering, joint pain,
vomiting, hemolytic anemia, jaundice, hemoglobin in the urine, retinal
damage, and convulsions
