For getting get admission in Maharashtra Engineering colleges, you have to clear JEE entrance test, top IITs in India.

Candidates have to apply for JEE Main 2015.
Once they qualify, they have to apply for the Maharashtra B.Tech Admissions 2015 through CAP.

Application fees: Rs 700 (Rs 500 for SC/ST/PD) to be paid in cash at any of the Application Receipt Centres (ARCs).

J&K Migrants have to pay Rs 700 in cash at designated branch of Axis Bank

Candidates have to purchase the Application Kit comprising of the Application ID and a password to log in and compete the online Application form for the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

Eligibility;
The candidate should be an Indian national and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.

The students secured minimum 50 % marks (minimum 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject added together.

The candidates from Maharashtra should have obtained a positive Composite score i.e., marks obtained after adding 50% of JEE (Main) (Paper 1) marks and 50% of normalized Standard XII (Board or Equivalent Examination) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Break up of engineering seats in Maharashtra:

1. Pune University: 33% with 50,550 seats

2. Mumbai University: 17% with 26,540 seats.

3. Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University:14% with 22,392 seats.

4. Shivaji University:10% with 15,750 seats.

5. Sant Gadge Baba Amarvati University: 7% with 10,860 seats.

6. Dr B A Marathwada University: 7% with with 10,132 seats.

7. North Maharashtra University: 5% with 7,140 seats.

8. Solapur University: 4% with 6,060 seats.

9. S.R.T Marathwada University: 2% with 3,830 seats.

10. Gondwana University: 1% with 2,000 seats.
