1. Every student shall undergo a period of certified study extending over 4 ½ academic years divided into 9 semesters, (i.e. of 6 months each) from the date of commencement of his study for the subjects comprising the medical curriculum to the date of completion of examination and followed by one year compulsory rotating internship. Each semester will consist of approximately 120 teaching days of a hours each college working time, including one hour of lunch.

2. The period of 4 1//2 years is divided into 3 Phases as follows:-

(a) Phase-1 (two semesters) – consisting of Pre-clinical subjects (Human Anatomy, Physiology including Bio-Physics, Biochemistry and introduction to Community Medicine including Humanities). Besides 60 hours for introduction to Community Medicine including Humanities, rest of the time shall be somewhat equally divided between Anatomy and Physiology plus Biochemistry combined (Physiology 2/3 and Biochemistry 1/3).

1.Details of MBBS Course:
(a)Duration:- 4 1/2 years + 1 year Internship
(b)Eligibility:- Pass 10 + 2 in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology
(c)Age:- You should bhave completed 17 years of his age at the time of admission
Admission:- Admission based in CET Score merit list conducted by Tamil nadu state Government.
2. M.B.B.S. SYLLABUS – (MICROBIOLOGY)
.To employs aseptic and sterile precautions while performing simple invasive procedures such as venepuncture etc.
.To collects and transport appropriate clinicalmaterials with necessary precautions for the laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases.
.To performs common laboratory techniques (as given below) for the direct demonstration of microorganisms from clinical materials and interpret their findings.
These should include :-
(a) Saline and iodine preparations and concentration methods for demonstration of trophozoites, Ova or cysts in stool samples.
(b) Prepare and stain peripheral blood for screening malarial parasites and microfilariae.
(c)Prepare a smear and perform Gram stain on body fluids, urine and pus specimens.
(d) Prepare a smear and perform Ziehl – Neelsen stain for demonstration ofmycobacteria especially from sputum.
(e)Interpret results of microbiological tests including antimicrobial testing for thediagnosis of common infectious diseases.
(f)eport and interpretation of serological tests for diagnosis of infectiousdiseases
(g) INTEGRATION
The student will be integrated with the knowledge of Microorganisms and their pathogenicity, host response, laboratory diagnosis and epidemiology, control of diseases in the community by proper immunization procedures.
