M Tech in Manipal University through GATE

Tell me please if I want to take admission in Manipal University for do M Tech then is that compulsory to clear the graduate aptitude test because I want to take admission in this for do M Tech course so I want to know about it

The M. Tech program in Print and Media Technology program offered by Manipal Academy of Higher Education teaches media production, commercial printing, publishing and e-publishing, advertising solutions, designing and digital printing, etc.

Eligibility
Citizenship: Indian nationals can apply under the General Category. Foreign nationals or Non Resident Indians or Indian nationals supported by NRI relatives can apply under the Foreign/NRI Category.
One should have passed B.E/B. Tech or AMIE or equivalent in any branch of engineering course with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.
50% marks required in Manipal Academy of Higher Education Entrance Exam.
No minimum age limit.

2 years divided into 4 semesters

ADMISSIONS
General Category:
Admission is done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal Entrance Test (MET).

Foreign/NRI Category:
Admission is done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
One can apply either under General Category or Foreign/NRI Category.
One submitting an application under both General and Foreign/NRI categories is considered only under the General Category.
Change of category at a later stage will not be entertained under any circumstances.

ENTRANCE TEST PATTERN

Entrance Test Type:
Manipal Entrance Test - MET

Test Pattern:
Duration- 1.30 hours
There will be one question paper of 60 multiple choice questions (MCQ) of the objective type.
Each question carries four marks; each correct answer will be awarded four marks.
One mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer.
Each paper shall have 50 Questions from the respective disciplines & 10questions from Engineering Mathematics.

Merit List:
General Category:
Based on the marks obtained in Manipal Entrance Test and the eligibility criteria for various programs, Manipal Academy of Higher Education will declare a common merit list which will be displayed on the website.

One possessing valid GATE score will be given 10% additional marks and ranked in the merit list. One with GATE score must enclose the photocopy of the GATE score card along with the Application Form. Without which the additional marks are not awarded.

Foreign/NRI Category:
A separate merit list of the applicants under the Foreign/NRI category will be prepared based on marks obtained at the qualifying exam and those selected for admission will be informed separately.
