As you are saying that you want to take admission in JNU in M.A (History) so, here I am providing you the same.

Eligibility:

Candidates should complete B.A (Hons) in History with at least 60% marks.

Candidates who have passed B.A (Hons) /B.Sc (Hons) /B.Com (Hons) with 60% marks are also eligible for the admission in JNU.

Admission process:

Candidates should need to fill an application form offline.

Candidates must keep the Application form Numbers with them in order to be used for the future references.

Candidates should make sure that they confirm with the eligibility conditions as prescribed before applying in a certain course programme.

Here I am providing you the dates for the admission in MA History in JNU.

Important dates:

Start of Online Application process: Starting of February 2015.

Issue of offline Application Forms (by post): Starting of February, 2015

Last date for issue of offline Application Forms (by post): Mid of March, 2015

Closing of online Application Process: last week of March, 2015

Last date of submission of completed Application Form to reach JNU

i) Offline Application Forms last of March, 2015
ii) Printed copy of online Application Form starting days of April, 2015

Jawaharlal Nehru University’s center for historical studies offers the 2 years post graduation MA in history course, As per your request, I am giving you detail of the admission process here.

Eligibility Criteria:

For direct admission

Applicant needs to holds the B.A. (Hons.) in History degree of University of Delhi with at least 60% marks or above.

Admission through Entrance Test

Applicant need to pass B.A. (Hons.) Examination in History of Delhi University with at lest 50% marks but less than 60%
OR
B.A. (Hons.) Examination in History of Universities other than Delhi University recognized as equivalent with 55% marks
OR

B.A.(Pass)/Prog. examination from Delhi University with 55% marks and above in the aggregate and 55% in the subject history
OR

B.A(Pass)/Prog. from other than Delhi University with 60% marks or above in aggregate
OR

B.A (Hons.) in any subject other than History from Delhi University and other Universities with 55% marks or above in the aggregate With 60% marks
OR

B.Com.(Pass/Hons); /B.Sc. (Gen./Hons.) from Delhi University and other than Delhi University with 60% marks or above in the aggregate
OR

Master’s degree other than History from Delh University recognized as equivalent With 65% marks in M.Sc./M.Com or with 55% marks in M.A. in Humanities & Social Sciences

Selection Procedure:

Selection of the candidate depends on the merit of the entrance exam.
Application Fee:
Rs.250/- for General Candidates
Rs.100/- for SC/ST/PC candidates
