Lovely Professional University is a university semi-residential university in North India created under the Punjab State Private University Act 2005 and recognized by UGC under Section 2 of UGC Act 1956.

An entity established under the aegis of This University for professional development of University staff encompassing the teaching, adminstrative, technical and ancilliary staff members.

The college is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the staff development programs as per the desired standards of quality intended to be delivered.

Mission:

LPU-Academic Staff College aims at providing excellent professional development opportunities to staff members across the campus, assisting them in reaching their full potential through learning that is job relevant and easily transferrable to the workplace.

The college shall work towards:

-organizational development through professional development of staff


Activities

-Skill-based Programmes focusing on developing expertise in using advanced equipment and software for research, teaching, and administration.

-Regular training programmes for honing pedagogical skills in teachers and widening their horizon by refreshing and enhancing their knowledge, and equipping them to constantly live up to the ever growing expectations of the student community

-Programmes encouraging de-compartmentalization of knowledge in various disciplines for holistic development and keeping abreast with the global changes in all the spheres.

-Monitoring the outcomes of training for continuous improvement in job performance.

-Coordination with UGC and Academic Staff Colleges of other universities for sending LPU staff to attend General Orientation Programmes and Refresher Courses.
