American University Kogod School of Business and the Washington College of Law (WCL) offer the first LLM/MBA dual degree program in the United States.

MBA courses at Kogod or take additional coursework at WCL. To earn the dual LLM/MBA degree, course requirements for both programs must be fulfilled:

LLM:

Two 25 page research papers

American Legal Institutes (for civil law-trained lawyers)

English for Lawyers (for students who need extra practice with English)

MBA:

33 credit hours of required courses

Admission Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the admission requirements of both the LL.M. in International Legal Studies and the MBA program to be admitted into
thedual degree program.

Students may apply for the dual degree at the beginning of their
application process (preferred) or may wait until they have begun
the LL.M. program, but admission to the LL.M. program is a required first step
.
Students applying to the LL.M./MBA program are
notrequired to take the LSAT or GMAT exam

Application Deadlines
Fall (program beginning mid-August): May 1o
Spring (program beginning early January): October 1
