Re: LIC ADO Apprentice Period

The Remuneration paid during the apprentice period for candidate selected as Apprentice Development Officer in LIC (Life Insurance Cooperation) of India will be a fixed amount as stipend per month as per rules of the Corporation. At present the amount of stipend is Rs.12, 421/- per month.

After completion of apprentice period they will be appointed as Probationary Development Officers in the scale of 7440-450(2)-8340-520(2)-9380-540(17)-18560. The total emoluments in this scale is Rs.14, 528/- at present.

The promotion channel for Apprentice Development Officer is as follows:

Senior Divisional Manager (SDM)

Divisional Manager (DM)

Marketing Manager (MM)

Senior Branch Manager (SBM)

Branch Manager (BM)

Assistant Branch Manager (ABM-Sales)

Development Officer (DO)

Probationary Development Officer (PDO)

Apprentice Development Officer (ADO)


Educational Qualification:

i. For Employees category and Agents category:
Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established under a statute or a foreign university approved for the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

ii. For Other Category:
Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established under a statute or a foreign university approved for the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

iii. Preference is given to those applicants who possess Masters Degree in Business Administration in Marketing or Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from a University in India established under Statute or by an Institute approved by All India Council for Technical Education or a recognized Institution.
